Blockchain seems to offer new forms of governance that go beyond the state and the market, supporting decentralised forms of consensus, trust and decision making.
Next meetup will be held at Data61 Spring Hill, the site team leader will start by giving a short presentation of their current work on blockchain.
Followed by a talk of Dr. Adrian McCullagh, research fellow at the Law Future Centre at Griffith University, on the implications of blockchain and decentralised governance, Adrian will also considers what it means to govern through technical infrastructure.
The second part of the session is open to conversation and debate on the subject, everyone is encouraged and welcome to participate.
Data61 will be serving drinks, snacks and pizzas.
Note: due to site restriction the number of attendees is limited.
